Every Action Matters during 
Hunger Action Month

At just 3 years old, Austin set out with a little red wagon and a big idea: collect 200 pounds of food for local families in need. Fifteen years later, that simple act has grown into an annual tradition, with Austin collecting nearly 20,000 pounds of food for Feed More’s neighbors across Central Virginia.

September is Hunger Action Month, and Austin's story is a reminder that everyone has something to give, and that one small act can inspire an entire community. Hunger Action Month is a time to take action - big or small - against food insecurity and help ensure our neighbors have access to nourishing food.
